Giulia Bonora is an Italian craft designer, sculptor and ceramist.

She was born in Varese in 1998, attended the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan and still works on her creations at the coworking studio in via Olona 104, Gallarate.

She trained at Fornaci Ibis in Cunardo under Giorgio Robustelli. Thanks to her workshop experience and the technical training from the academy, she became a craftswoman and launched the “Keramô” brand in 2020.

Modelling, shaping, slip casting, glazing, decorating with glazes, slips and oxides are all part of her savoir-faire.

In 2021 she was selected for two European CerDee projects, through which she attended the Summer School and took the course held by artist and poet Lorenzo Cianchi at the MIC (International Museum of Ceramics) in Faenza. During the residency in Faenza she visited the historic Bottega Gatti and the Carlo Zauli museum, which certainly left their mark on her. She studied at the design faculty of Sutnar university, where she approached the world of porcelain and made various design objects using several techniques, including slip casting, shaping, moulding and third-firing decoration.

In May 2022 she worked on the “Monumento Sociale” project for Fondazione Cariplo and received a special mention from the Museo Gianetti in Saronno for taking part in the 6th CoffeeBreak.Museum competition.

In 2023 she created “Another Cell on the Wall” with students of Uninsubria in Varese, a permanent work at the university college. During the Salone del Mobile in Milan she showed her “Interlocking of atoms”, sculpture-vases celebrating the Art&Craft concept, at Palazzo Bovara for Elle Decor Italia's installation exhibition “The Art of Light” and for the Tacchini pavilion.
