Clara Holt
Inspired by classical literature, Greek epics, surrealist drawing and painting, the expressive motifs of his pieces illustrate places, mythological scenes or childhood stories.
Clara Holt only started painting on ceramics a few years ago, but quickly discovered that it was the perfect medium for her. Clay allows for the creation of works of art that are both decorative and functional.
Sometimes it all starts with an image in his head. Then he builds the piece, or a series of pieces, around the series of illustrations he wants to make and the story he wants to tell. Other times it is the piece that comes first, and only then does he study a decoration that enhances its shapes and curves, as well as the color of the clay.
He loves simple shapes and prefers to create images that are not univocal in their interpretation, leaving room for imagination.
